Website privacy notice

Last updated: 8 October 2026.

Who runs this site

The data controller is Amedeo Sbardellotto, who runs the NerdCoach profiles and channels. For questions about your data, email [email protected].

When you browse

The site is hosted on a server managed by the controller and distributed through Cloudflare. Web requests may generate technical data such as your IP address, the requested page and browser information. This data is used to serve pages, maintain security and check that the site is working.

The mini-quest keeps your choices only in the page’s memory: it does not send them to the server or save them after you close or reload the page. Guide search works within the page. These features do not require an account.

When you contact me

You can contact me by email or WhatsApp. I use the information you choose to share to read and handle your request. The links open the service you choose, which also applies its own privacy notice. Please share only the information needed to start the conversation.

NerdCoach requests and the practical guide

The practical guide is available without completing the form. The rules below apply to a new contact and to delivery of a NerdCoach resource.

Data controller and contact

The data controller is Amedeo Sbardellotto. For information or requests about your data, email [email protected].

Form data

We record the information you enter in form fields, the brand, the page you came from and any resource you request. We keep a technical identifier to prevent duplicate requests, along with your choices about optional emails. Campaign labels are associated with a request only if you have accepted analytics. Include only what is needed to understand your request: do not send diagnoses, health data or other sensitive personal details.

Purposes and legal bases

We use the data to answer your request, deliver the resource you ask for and consider any pre-contractual steps you initiate: Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Technical checks against abuse and duplicate requests serve the legitimate interest in security and proper service operation: Article 6(1)(f). If offered on the Italian form, promotional emails require a separate, affirmative choice for that brand and can be withdrawn: Article 6(1)(a). The English contact form does not offer marketing emails.

Required fields and optional choices

Fields marked as required are needed to handle your request and provide a reply. Without them, the form cannot complete that request. Practical resources can also be viewed without leaving your details. Where offered on the Italian form, promotional email consent is optional, applies only to that brand and does not affect your request. Confirmation by email is required before promotional emails are sent. The English contact form does not offer a marketing opt-in. Your choice on one brand does not apply to the other two. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similar effects.

Hosting, CRM and email delivery

Data from new forms is stored in the CRM on a server managed by Amedeo and hosted by Contabo. Requests are accessible to people authorised to handle them. The CRM uses PostgreSQL on the server; new forms do not send contacts to a Supabase Cloud project. When an email is sent, the address and the content needed for that email pass through the Google SMTP service used for delivery.

Statistics and preferences

Google Analytics 4 is enabled on the Italian pages and loads only after analytics consent. Analytics statistics are not enabled on this English version, and the consent banner is not shown here. On the Italian pages, analytics consent is separate from email choices. Events do not contain a form’s name, email address or message, and measured URLs omit query strings and fragments. On Italian pages you can withdraw consent using the “Privacy settings” button in the footer. Details about local storage and cookies appear under “Optional measurement” below.

External services and transfers

Google says it uses servers distributed around the world; its services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. For information published by the provider, see Google’s privacy notice and its framework for data transfers. You can ask the controller for information about agreements relevant to the service actually used. Links to WhatsApp and social networks open external services with their own privacy notices.

Retention

We keep a request while it is being handled and for any agreed next steps. If it closes without follow-up, the controller manually reviews the data and removes free-text content and details that are no longer needed. The minimum information needed to document a request, email choices, objections or a specific need to protect rights may be retained for those purposes. If a contractual relationship begins, data needed for it is kept according to the applicable obligations. Email subscriptions remain active until withdrawal, the purpose ends or their validity is reviewed; after withdrawal, we retain the minimum evidence needed to prevent further messages. Data is not automatically deleted merely because a CRM record is closed.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, and object to processing where that right applies. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect earlier processing or stop work on a request you have already sent. Email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Book information requests

The form collects your name, email address, the book you are interested in and any message you choose to include, so that we can answer your request and provide availability information. Your name, email address and book choice are required to handle the request; the message is optional.

The form asks for consent to process data for this purpose. It is not a purchase, a reservation or an automatic newsletter subscription.

Waiting list for Il Punto di Respawn

If you choose to join, the form collects your email address and records your consent to send updates only about Il Punto di Respawn. It also records the purpose, the consent-text version and the date. This is not a pre-order and does not subscribe you to a general newsletter or promotions about other services. You can withdraw consent and request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. The address and consent record are kept until withdrawal or the end of this purpose.

Retention of book enquiries

Book-enquiry data is kept in the site archive for as long as needed to handle the request. It is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing and, where applicable, objection and portability by emailing [email protected]. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

External services

Buttons to WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok open external services with their own privacy notices. Fonts on the main pages are hosted directly on this site. The separate NerdCoach Insights application has its own privacy notice in Italian.

Optional measurement

On the Italian pages, if you accept, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand in aggregate which pages and links are visited. Measurement is optional: before you choose, the Google tag is not loaded, no requests are sent to Google services and no Analytics cookies are created. Analytics statistics are not enabled on the English pages, and the consent banner is not shown there.

After acceptance, the site measures the page visited, the referrer reduced to its origin, and some general actions such as clicks on WhatsApp, email or coaching links, or a saved book request. A name, email address, message, selected product or other form data is not sent.

Pages and events use a path without a query string or fragment. Advertising and ad personalisation remain disabled; Google Signals and automatic enhanced-measurement events are not enabled.

The choice is stored for 180 days in the browser’s local storage; if that is unavailable, a first-party technical cookie is used to remember it. You can reopen Privacy settings from the footer of the Italian pages. If you withdraw acceptance, the site deletes any _ga and _ga_* cookies and reloads the page to stop subsequent requests.

For information about Google consent, see the official Consent Mode documentation.
